LAND is a touching research of a woman steeped in grief, determined to leave life behind within the midst of a devastating taking place. Robin Wright successfully directs from an angle of isolation, each of place and of thoughts. A lot of moments and situations feel acquainted, and while that hinders the overall expertise, LAND is so superbly shot with such deeply heartfelt performances that it earns plenty of respect by the end.
