In remembering the assassination of Martin Luther King, Jr. in their very own metropolis 50 years in the past this spring, the REALTORS® of Memphis, Tenn. marched two miles to the National Civil Rights Museum on the Lorraine Motel. But that was just the start of a strategic plan that shines a bright light on cultural range, honest housing, and anti-blight initiatives. The seaside municipality of Laguna Beach is not the type of place anyone likes to leave – least of all the growing number of seniors who’re deeply connected to the neighborhood in which they’ve made their houses. Now, with a REALTOR® Party grant, the local REALTORS® are partnering with a community non-profit to get seniors the help they should stay the place they want to be. In recognition of the fiftieth anniversary of that breakthrough laws, St. Louis REALTORS® engaged into native tasks benefiting underserved communities with grants from the REALTOR® Party and Missouri REALTORS®.
